Asteroids@home advance warning of outage from their news page.

There is going to be a big maintenance on 11.09.2017. It will take nearly 5 - 7 days. Servers won't be processing any work during maintanenace and most of the time might be offline.

"CSG" aka Citizens Science Grid has been down now for at least 4 hours now.

No web site, etc...
It's not just you! csgrid.org looks down from here.

Should I do this? I've never been told to do it before.

Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to https://einsteinathome.org again. If this error persists, it is possible that this site uses an unsupported protocol or cipher suite such as RC4 ((link for the details)), which is not considered secure. Please contact your site administrator.

Probably be helpful if I mentioned in passing it's IE 11 telling me that.

Thank you :)

I'm going to move on from here I think

AFAIK, it's all already on. It is in mine and I never touched those settings.

GoofyxGrid aka "Monkeys" appears to be OVERLOADED and/or under a SPAM-BOT ATTACK with a 504 Gateway Time-out Error if you try to go to the web page.
TASKS constantly Time Out when uploading and downloading requiring multiple forced/manual updates to try and get them through.

Has been getting progressively worse past 3 days.

NO real changes with the "monkeys" project.
Web page is still generating 504 errors.
Occasionally tasks are uploading / downloading but still require extensive use of manual updates.

The database crashed, the admin is supposed to be sorting it out but no news since then...

Has been getting progressively worse past 3 days.

Admin says he is in hospital with no mobile or internet access, no timescale given when he might return home.

Looks like something, possibly his new router, needs kicking every 7-10 days. Works fine for a few days, a few more days of occasional 504 errors, a few days of mostly 504 errors then the Gandalf moment arrives.

Edit: Oh, and the mail handler is broken, posting on the forum gets an error, it does post but the forum post count doesn't increase and PM also fails.

Two new project outages:

1) Climate Prediction (CPDN):
"We are upgrading the operating system on our Dev site server and we will take the dev site down from 14:00 UK time [UTC] today [Thursday 18 January]". This probably won't affect ordinary users, but may affect new application testers.

2) Einstein @ Home
"We are going to shut down the project next Tuesday, Jan 23rd at around 10 AM CET for an upgrade of our database backend systems to make them ready for the years to come. We're going to upgrade hardware parts, operating systems as well the databases themselves, which is why we need to shut down the entire project, including the BOINC backend and this very website."

CPDN is temporarily unavailable.

Dear all,

As you probably already know we are currently experiencing issues. The core VM is currently unavailable and our website is unreliable. Therefore we are going to stop the project until this is resolved. I will keep you updated with progress.

Best wishes,
Sarah

CPDN.org / Climateprediction.net servers and forums has been unreachable for 24+hours.
Only the MAIN Climateprediction.net web page can be reached.
