Milkyway@home is down. AGAIN. Yea, they seem to have problems and when they do come back up there is no mention of what went wrong. My AMD boards are only useful on Milkyway. Their superior DP float does not provide any benefit on Einstein. Asteroids had no OpenCL apps and Numberfield's OpenCL seem to run only on newer AMD cards with UEFI bios. When I asked about the problem, the admin did not know how the controlling XML was generated let alone how to fix it... There was a bad thunderstorm, heavy hail last night and I shut them all off. I may leave them off the whole summer. My nVidia boards run fine on all projects. I really miss SETI. |

Milkyway@home is down. AGAIN. Yes, bad form in my opinion not to inform your volunteer crunchers of the reason for project unavailability. Especially when it keeps happening. |

It's been many years that boinc's interest is fading out. Read this if you're not convinced. Lame self-serving article that reads like it was written by a very conceited egomaniac. Tell KRI to end shadow-banning on WCG. ![]() |

I anticipate that this will take a few days to complete during which time the project will be offline. -- Posted: 2 May 2023, 15:23:30 UTC Any idea how long a few days is? It is now late May 5. ![]() |

Last time things were moved like that from memory it was about five days but really I am guessing. It also depends on whether Andy hits any snags. Still just over a day till my four East Asia tasks from testing branch are finished meaning it will likely be a few be a few few days after that before any work appears for main site based on the results. The way I see it, it's better if Andy gets it right first time rather than rushes and makes silly mistakes.I anticipate that this will take a few days to complete during which time the project will be offline. -- Posted: 2 May 2023, 15:23:30 UTC The good news is that all four of my tasks have survived 51 days of crunching and one is down to less than 24 hours so I am hopeful of them finishing. |

Africa Rainfall Project is running again on WCG. And only one click of the retry button to get three tasks to download! |

I will be needing to take a database dump and then upload this to the new server, so I anticipate that this will take a few days to complete during which time the project will be offline. If all has gone well, I would anticipate the database transfer should be complete by now but, as Monday is a public holiday in UK (Some Charlie getting a new hat) I would guess things might be up again late Tuesday. This assumes no snags. Following this I would guess within a week there should be some East Asia tasks as all four of my 52.5 day long tasks completed successfully. |

CPDN is back up. I haven't spotted anything untoward yet but am still looking. |
