Malariacontrol.net announced a few months back that they would not be sending new work in the foreseeable future. They were not sure how long it would be, possibly permanent.

The website has now been offline for two days and I expect it is the end of the project.

When I try to login to Collatz Conjecture I get the following:

There’s a problem with this website’s security certificate

This might mean that someone’s trying to fool you or steal any info you send to the server. You should close this site immediately.

What gives?

There’s a problem with this website’s security certificate

This might mean that someone’s trying to fool you or steal any info you send to the server. You should close this site immediately.

What gives?

1) The Collatz web site is NOT OWNED OR CONTROLLED BY BOINC or Berkeley. It is owned and operated by a PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL.

2) The web sites owner let the SSL/Security Certificate EXPIRE/has NOT renewed it. The site is possibly safe to visit (at your OWN risk until the SSL has been renewed.)

There has been NO reply from the project owner on his web site as to when this might be resolved... see

Hi All,

Yesterday evening (7pm UK time) there was an issue with the backend infrastructure that the CPDN servers reside on, one of the four hosts of the backend VMware system experienced an issue and another one is also currently having difficulty accessing the datastore. OeRC IT is currently investigating this. The project is currently shutdown whilst this is being investigated.

With regards,

today, I tried to re-activate ROSETTA which I was crunching last several months ago. However, the server is not accessible. The homepage not either :-(
Can anyone tell me whether they have only a temporary outage, or whether the Rosetta project does no longer exist.
