Burger King Japan did a press release (PDF) on a new perfume, called Whopper. It smells like a Whopper. Only for sale on April 1st, for a whopping $50.-

Samsung did a press release (here) on their new Galaxy BLADE edge: Chef’s Edition. A smartphone with an edge so sharp, you can use it as a chef's knife.

Google has Pac Man via Google Maps (works in Chrome, IE). Use this link for that. Wait for it to load, navigate to a place you know (it starts above The Netherlands), then press the Pac Man option in the lower left corner. If you don't see the option, try another browser.

MacDonalds has a Big Mac Store, with the Big Mac clothing line. Only in Sweden so far, so their store is also only available in Swedish.

Tele2 is going to provide scent-calling. For more information see their Youtube video.

Know any more? Share! :)

It usually starts wherever it thinks you are.

This link will probably be only work for those in the US & Canada due to PBS's "zone" restrictions:
Physicists Warming Up the LHC Accidentally Create a Rainbow Universe
After two years of extensive upgrades, the Large Hadron Collider was warming up on March 21 for another round of experiments when a circuit controlling one of its massive magnets shorted out. Dismayed, scientists began repairing the equipment, hoping for a short delay. Just yesterday, CERN announced that the LHC could restart within days.

Then the unexpected happened. As physicists were testing the repairs by zipping a few spare protons around the 17 mile loop, the CMS detector picked up something unusual. The team feverishly pored over the data, and ultimately came to an unlikely conclusion—in their tests, they had accidentally created a rainbow universe.

“Rainbow universes were pure speculation before this happened,” said Jessica Czerniski, the CERN physicist who was overseeing the warm-up procedures. “We had some solid math backing us up, of course, but none of us ever dreamed we would live to see this day.”

Test-flying Tidy Cats' amusingly bad litter-scooping drone
The Clump Claw 2000 concept is a delightful failure timed for April Fools', but the concept has some real-world appeal. Crave's Amanda Kooser and her cat Archer give it a go.
