OS X Screensaver Problems

Reported by: rhughes2270 Assigned to:
Priority: Major Milestone: Undetermined
Component: Undetermined Version: 6.2.14
Keywords: os x, mac, screensaver Cc:

Description

In the previous version of BOINC (5.x) that I had, I could change my settings to use a portion of my processing time. The result in the screensaver was that the graphics would pause in rendering each second (I call this "dead time") and resume when processing was allowed.

In 6.2.14, BOINC stops running a project completely and restarts the screensaver after "dead time." BOINC also seems to change from one project to another. The result is that I see no graphics, but rather a floating BOINC sign that alternates between saying that graphics are starting and that BOINC is idle.

It seems like a really easy fix to simply keep the same program running and not have BOINC restart the graphic rendering after "dead time," since this is what the program did in 5.x.

Thanks
