Vista Blocked startup programs

Reported by: seeyainafew Assigned to: romw
Priority: Major Milestone: 6.0
Component: Client - Setup Version:
Keywords: Cc: Nicolas

Description

In BOINC 5.10 I have it set to start BOINC when Windows Vista Home Premium starts but since it runs under admin it blockes it from starting. I've searched to find a way to tell it to run automaticaly each time but it wont let me change it. I can right click on the icon (Blocked startup programs) and I can tell it to run BOINC, but I have to do this each time I reboot.

5.x has a lot of problems under Vista. It's all already being worked on for version 6.

I don't have any software that can open that strange .docx format.

That would be the wonderful new MS Word format.

seeyainafew. Can you please upload it in a standard format like .png?

Replying to KSMarksPsych:

That would be the wonderful new MS Word format.

I thought OpenOffice would handle it, but it didn't...

I managed to extract the images from the document, though (.docx are zip files).

  • cc set to Nicolas.
  • priority changed from Minor to Major.
  • milestone changed from Undetermined to 6.0.

Should this be marked 'Blocker', since it should be working by the time 6.x gets released?

  • status changed from new to closed.
  • resolution set to fixed.

Should be fixed in the latest 6.x clients.
