Project preferences will not update through AMS

Description

There are problems with the latest BOINC Server revisions and the AMS of BAM! (at least, possible that GR is also affected).

People who try to change their preferences through BAM! can't get projects that use the latest revisions to use those preferences as the synchronization ignores and even deletes their changes.

Having spoken with Willy, he says there are two major problems at this time:

  • Host specific preferences are deleted when contacting the project.
  • There are a couple of server revisions that don't react well on BAM! They send back empty XML files to BAM! in which case it is unable to send any updated data to the project (account info for instance).
