Since the previous thread has been locked (that gets done very early, methinks), I'll start a new one. I want to use the "Only after computer has been idle for x minutes" function and it does not work. When I set it, the tasks say "Suspended - computer is in use" and stay that way. Ageless wrote: The developers are looking into it. None of the BOINC versions available at this time will have a fix. If there is a fix to be found soon, it'll be in 7.2.39 or above. It is still doing it in BOINC Manager version 7.2.42 (x64) on Xubuntu 14.04 |

In your previous thread, you said that it announces the computer is in use as soon as the screensaver starts. Maybe it's just a bug with the screensaver on that OS. (When I used Ubuntu 14, the screensaver would always jack up the CPU and slow things down anyway) |

Quick question, are you using Berkeley versions of Boinc (recommended), or from repositories? |

The developers are testing (internally) whether or not a new method of not depending on the XScreensaver libraries helps out. |
