I am no longer an active cruncher. I amassed over 37 million credits. I had to quit because of insoluble heat problems.

Talking with a friend who is a cruncher strictly on WCG, we hit upon a way that I could still help the effort. I have a blog called sciencesprings. Some of you might have seen it. I thought that I could bring varous articles to the blog where I am read by over 400 people in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. My source material is very simple: Facebook, RSS feeds, Twitter, Google+. I follow all of the U.S DOE labs, CERN, NASA, ESO, ESA, and some prestigious U.S. universities. All of the organizations I mentioned use these social media tools.

I went about the business of collecting all of the RSS feeds and Facebook pages that I could find.

The only group that I found using social media to any extent are some of the WCG projects.

If projects running on BOINC software want to get known and spread their word, then they need to avail themselves of these social media tools. This is now the way of the world.

Anyone can check out my blog to see what others outside of the BOINC world are doing.

I have now collected RSS feeds and Facebook pages, and Twitter feeds wherever they were available for and from the projects.

I have created templates for many of the projects. If and when there is any news which shows up in any of the social media I mentioned, it will be posted to the blog. The blog reaches over 400 readers in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. If you want to see your projects page, just visit the blog, you will find your blog post in among others.

I will be following Dave Anderson's forum entries for any new projects.
