I am currently running an HP 110-210 desktop with an AMD A4-5000 APU with Radeon HD graphics (1.5 GHz). The OS is windows 8.1 and it has 4 gig memory. I have the latest stable edition of BOINC installed and am running Docking, Rosetta, ClimatePrediction, and SIMAC.

I had another computer with BOINC installed and was running rosetta and docking on that one until it was replaced with the current machine. When I installed BOINC on this new machine, it started a whole new account, even though I had used to same identifying information to get going (Email address, user name, team membership, etc.). How can I get the credit/information I had in the old account transferred to the new one?

Merging accounts isn't possible.

When I installed BOINC on this new machine, it started a whole new account, even though I had used to same identifying information to get going (Email address, user name, team membership, etc.).

When adding the projects again, always choose the "Yes, existing user" option, as that will make sure that you use your current account. Making two accounts with the same email address isn't possible, as the email address is the unique identifier.

So the easiest way to explain what happened is that you must've chosen to make a new account, and used a different email address. The BOINC databases at projects don't care if your use email.address@snippy.snap or EmaIl.AdDreSs@SNipPy.SnAP, both of these are the same. However, any typo made in the email address made it a different one.

Interesting. I did choose the existing user option, and the email address was spot-on, as these were the first two things I checked. Any other ideas?
thank you
