Hello I have been running seti@home for a couple years or so now and this past week boinc has refused to start calculating when I leave my pc idle - the screensaver wont even kick in - I have not changed any settings and have now reinstalled several times
I am running win 8.1 16gb ram i7 3770k GeForce gtx 760 boinc version 7.2.42

if anyone has any ideas why it has decided to stop working for me it would be helpful

Could you please post BOINC its start-up messages? The first 30-40 lines will do.
Also, when you check in BOINC Manager, does there appear to be work to be done?
Which project(s) have you got added to BOINC?
Are they allowed to fetch work?
Do you have any tasks suspended?
Do you have any project suspended?

I have fixed my issue it was simply a game controller plugged into a usb port preventing my pc from going idle
