Is it possible to specify to the bionic manager to use a specific hard disk drive, i.e. one other than the ā€œCā€ or system drive on a windows based system?
My main workstation has multiple drives available, so I was wondering if I could off load bionics computational disk activity to one of these or even install the program to one of these alternate drives and run everything from there?

Thanks

When you install BOINC on a Windows-based computer, the installer shows you what drives the program and data directories will be put on, and gives you an option to change them.

If you want to change the directories after installation, you need to uninstall BOINC, move the data directory to its new location, and then reinstall BOINC being sure to select the correct directories.

That being in the Windows installer:

Click Advanced, then...

Top two directories dictate where to put the programs and Data directory. You'll want to change the data directory path.

The Macintosh has an option for that as well, elaborately laid out in http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Tools_for_Mac_OS_X#Moving_BOINC_Manager_or_BOINC_Data_Folder_to_a_Different_Drive
