Message 53145 - Posted: 13 Mar 2014, 5:36:29 UTC

Using BAM, I added The Lattice Project before starting BOINC.
I find later that my computer does not meet system requirements for Lattice.

Not a biggy (because it isn't running) but, Lattice still shows up on my Projects list and the "Remove" button is blanked out.

Any help?

Thanks.

You added the project through BAM, so you should also remove the project through BAM.

That does make sense, of course.

Found how to remove the project, thank you.
Yet, it still shows in Boinc Manager.

Perhaps a system reboot is in order?

There seems to be a difference of opinion between BAM and BOINC Manager.

What's the best way to post screen shots here?

Make sure you sync with BAM. That's an option in either the Tools or Advanced menu.

Yes, it's under Tools (in Advanced view) or there's a Synchronize button on front of Simple view.

Sorry to say, it makes no difference.

Never mind, I rarely see it and it's not causing any real problems as far as I'm aware.

Thanks people.

Which BOINC version was this with?
As it isn't normal. But then I don't really know how it should work either, so I'll test it some further on my own version here.

Was BOINC Manager 7.2.39 (x64); is now 7.2.42.. The newer version installed over the old.

I didn't know about removing the project from BAM first, before the update.
Perhaps a fresh install would work 'normally'?

Thanks, NATE1.

What happened was:
I went to "Sign-up for projects", from BAM, and (because I can't remember account details) I clicked on 'search for existing account' for The Lattice Project which caused it to disappear from the list.
Now Synchronize removes it from Boinc Manager as well.

The Lattice Project doesn't reappear on that list now, so it looks like I can no longer attach it (if I wanted to) directly from BAM.

Come to think of it.. I didn't anyway, but used boinc manager to add project. Now I'm just curious as to what sys requirements are for Lattice.

Oh, yes..

At least more than 2Gb RAM to spare - preferably more than 4, by the looks.
I thought the deal was to use spare CPU time. (?)
