I have decided to try some offline computing with an old laptop that I have at work. I connected it to the internet and downloaded several days worth of work units to the work buffer. It is now happily sitting on my lab bench chewing away at them. In a few days I plan on hooking it up again, hitting update and uploading/downloading work units.

Is there anything that I am missing? Is there any reason that this would not work?

As long as you told it that the internet connection is now not available, there should not be a problem with this setup. Activity->Network activity suspended.

Great. Will I have to un-suspend communication when I go online again and hit "update"?

Also, It looks like I submitted this thread twice. Can you delete the duplicate thread?
