I have downloaded the rpm package through yum command, and the version of boinc-manager is 6.10.45,but it seems not work when I set up my account following by the steps on http://boinc.berkeley.edu/wiki/Installing_BOINC_on_Fedora

first, I cannot find gui_rpc_auth.cfg file in /var/lib/boinc/,the directory is empty.Does it need to be created manually?

second, when I try to connect to localhost?The status bar in the boinc-manager will show "connecting to the localhost", then,after a minute, it will say disconnect...

third, I can not adding a project as the button seems not work when I click...

When you start BOINC Manager, have you first started the client?
BOINC Manager cannot connect to the client without the gui_rpc_auth.cfg file, so that is needed, however it is first made by the client (the BOINC binary).
