I am doing a install on a system that used to run Boinc until the drive died. Now I get the Error 1714: The older version of BOINC cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.

What older version?
I not only put in a new drive I went thru the registry and remove all mention of BOINC, since uninstalling was out of the question. Is there somewhere else under some other name that BOINC uses.
