Message 78019 - Posted: 19 May 2017, 5:17:57 UTC - in response to Message 78015.

Usually adding circuits to the "D" side of a PCCP (cabinet) wouldn't cause any internet problems. I would say it is definitely Seti that is the problem.

I ain't gota clue what you're meanin there Chris but i wern't a BT " engineer " if you work with the " stuff " you got to understand it , have seen inside looks like a shi#eload of wires and moulded blocks they wires go into / come out of , I'd know more about fabricating the Green box wouldn't I not what's inside the thingy ;-) .

Just seams wierd , probably a coincidence and the intermittent problem could of been going on for some time , with working nowadays i don't really pay that much attention to my computers on a daily basis , check the task list every day and if there's much change i'll dig a bit deeper ,and read the boards ( been a very naughty boy lately , but there you go sh#te happens as they say ;-) i should try to respect " authoritie " ( like fu#k ) ) Just to see what's going on in " setiland " ( gota do something else all em f-ing soap opera's and them being joined with the News on tv lately ;-) "kodi" box bestest £27 i spent in years ) .

Up early as got an early appointment at Addenbrookes, so I'll stick my head out the window on the way down to check it :-)

I'll look out for you on " Look East " Sirius " loony person dangling outa car at 100 mph on the A1M ;-) ohh sorry that's 70 mph in't it ( hehe speed is " relative " Alegedly ;-) , have tried that but don't work with plod but get a laff and let off with a tellin off in the past ) , that story will make a change from the " blowing sunshine " about the F-35 ( overpriced piece of crap ;-) )

Thanks Chris Sorta makes sence to my ickle braincell but don't explain why 9 times outa 10 they will work on the box in the evening when domestic use it at it's highest and not during the day when people are working ( or on benifits at home getting stonned watchin Jeremy Kyle and other " interlectual " offerings of ITV daytime schedule ( BBC bit better but not by much ;-) ) on Sky Full Hd set up costing >£ 50 a month on top of licence fee ( why pay for sky when you can get it for " free " with a bit of common sence ;-) hehehe) and how the fu#k can they afford it specialy with 2 / 3 kids ( all with " uncertain parentage " ( is round my way so don't have a go , only making a " observation " ;-) ) .
Don't forget where i live small village and ain't near the buisness part of the place ( apart from Suffolk Coastal moving their HQ NEXT DOOR to mine ) IP12 1PZ google Earth it but the photo's are least 10 / 15 years outa date ( see my old Yam TDR250 in me back garden and that ain't been ridden since early 200's ) Council are now where the big building is ( used to be Girdlestone pumps there , then Carters Haulage then Across the road Melton train station .

Did just check my job cache on main and nearly full so duno what's happenin in the " panic thread " over on main ( those who " talk the talk but can't walk the walk " probably ) let em get on with it , better things to do today , take a " trip " somewhere ;-) me thinks , weekend started for me here .

LOL. I'm not driving

You could stick your head out and look then i spose but be carefull em bits of roadside " furniture" are fairly hard and probably give you a good size " egg" on your bonce hehe .
If you were driving that would be very irresponsible to do that on a public highway and even i wouldn't do that :-)

Pi is a mathematical constant, and both an irrational and a transcendental number.

Dunno bout irrational / transendental ( they're the one's who do trantric sex like " sting " do in't they ;-) ) but " Napier's Constant " opend the " door " to some answers back in the X - Files and "Cancer Man " SHOT J.F.K saw it on a episode bout the " Lone Gunmen " so know it's true ;-) hehe ( i know's Chris is guna tell me off for this but ain't to botherd ;-) )

Pi = 3.142 but the bestest Pi is steak and kidney with ale gravey ( scorced and produced LOCAL like ) and that's me tea sorted for this evening hehe

Even Bar Hill / Madingley ??? just heard on local radio usual fun from Copdock inter to " 7 sisters " now that does make such a change for " my " end of the 14 don't it p.m.s.l , all we need now is " operation stack " to be implemented . Just think all em workin girls from Ipswich will soon " re locate " a couple of miles shall we say ( junkie skanks ;-) ) hope they delare their earnings when they sign on ;-)

Sorry edit : Coz juust noticed Chris's post and " fun's " staring to happen now " wow it's full of stars ( and tracers ;-) " hehe

Generally BT engineers will use the daytime to visit peoples houses and work inside where they need to. It woud be unsociable to visit during evening hours, and customers would rightly complain. Therefore they leave the external work to later in the day that doesn't need access to customers premises.

Maybe that was very true say 5 / 10 years ago but the demographic / pattens of the population change , most residentul are online soon as their in the door ( probably before on their mobiles ipads etc and you wouldn't belive the panic when they can't connect , just like there was a couple of " mushroom's 2 forming in the direction of the " Twins " ;-) .

Maybe they should re do their stats coz probably find their " model " is probably out of date for 2017 vand way tech in the home is going , ain't guna get any better .
I think people are becomeing to reliant on tech and forgeting how to do things for themselfs .
just a example few of you know i'm prescribed morphine for pain control but that it ain't on my repeat " scrip " i can either write the GP a letter asking or emailing , but for things like that i prefer writing a letter ( can even set it out properly etc ( spellin might not be 100% but lest they nkow it's me ;-) )) than send em a email . They re issue without any probs so don't you dare start thinkin i've " developed a habbit " coz i ain't ( get smack easy enough if i wanted that crap but never have / never will )

They do regularly get newbies that panic over nothing through lack of experience, credit hounds that are neurotic about RAC, and of course those that are just single and lonely and have to post about something. It is what seti Main is. "Panic mode on" was initially meant to reflect a programming instruction, but increasingly these days it heralds the onslaught of another episode in someones psychological condition

Don't forget the whackos who post crunchers post count in a specific time frame. Well it has been a wet & miserable day, so they had to have something to comment about :-)

Message 78052 - Posted: 20 May 2017, 15:27:50 UTC - in response to Message 78038.

Some posters fall into the category of "serial posters" up to 25 a day 7 days a week. Not about one pet suject but about anything anywhere where they think they can get attention. That is simple addiction and while people feel sorry for these peple and their sad lives, it is irritating to many others, as most of their posts have no content worth reading, just made for the sake of it.

Then of course there are those that have an obsession with stalking a particular cruncher they have decided that they don't like, to the extent that they will follow them from thread to thread, and even from project to project just to make sarky comments. Addiction (FosB) and obsessional behaviour (OCD) are recognised medical conditions that can be treated with medication and therapy, but the problem is to get the patient to accept the diagnosis and be prepared to have help to deal with it.

Interesting comments well worth dissecting.

Didn't you used to post up 40 a day until many others started noting your attitude towards them & responded in a manner that "forced" you into "self-exile"?

Following from project to project? Since you 1st mentioned that, I checked. It seems that your start date on quite a few projects are later than mine, so who followed who?

Thread to thread? Very much doubt that. All projects forums show what threads have new posts since last read. So should one view those new posts & see asinine comments & interested in the topics being discussed, of course they will make their own comments. To accuse them of "following" is well worth a chuckle or two.

Filters. Now that comment is hilarious. I often wonder how one can go ballistic at any of my posts when I have been filtered. Do they by chance forget I'm on filter & "click on read this post"? As that has happened quite often, I really do wonder about some people's state of mind.

Filters again. It is funny that being on filter one cannot reply to any "asinine" pm, yet the one who filtered sends "asinine" pm's knowing that? Is that a feeble attempt in baiting in the hope that a bite is obtained via the boards?

Recognised medical conditions. Yes that is a good one. So good that many in private, have thought that a particular cruncher could be suffering the onset of dementia. On that, I disagreed (still do) in that the cruncher concerned is too coherent & consistent. With that cruncher's history on the projects, it leaves only one conclusion IMV & that is sociopathic tendencies - Which explains quite a lot.

One of your best posts ever. Well done for rising to the bait and identifying yourself when I didn't mention any specific names. Please keep it up, this is all good stuff.

That's the difference between us, I know my limits & am quite happy to admit when I'm wrong & never think I'm perfect. Nice to see you fail for the biggest piece of bait ever posted on these projects.

Your history makes you so easy.

Done any screaming at project staff recently?

Edited for spelling mistake :-)

Why I remember someone accused me of that, by someone who had another digit on their ID number over mine. Why it may have even been in this very thread that the accusation was made. Now what is that jury instruction, if the witness lies about a trivial matter you are to disregard all their testimony, something like that.

As to those must make a deposit in every thread like a Clydesdale's tRump, they belong on a universal <plonk>

I posted a comment on main & from what is still being seen, it's worth a post here.

The thing with politics is that many views are expressed. Some will put across views that will give rise to some good debate, others will put views & will not allow others to debate it's rights or wrongs.

All make the same mistake. We all have the same destination with either of two outcomes.

A: You're planted.

B: You're toasted.
Personally, I think many are now selecting a "toasting" as they don't want to be planted next to a toilet cleaner :-)

Me? Not bothered as dead is dead.

Most chose toasting because their relatives can't afford planting. Then you get the flushing when they tire of seeing you on the mantle.

Have you ever seen a toasting?

I'm sure. So when they cracked the skull open to get the brain matter exposed to the flame ... or did you only see them press the start button?

Prettier than what I actually have seen, like a high velocity round hitting a human head, a roadside bomb explode & it's aftermath, a train hitting a body, so seeing a skull cracked isn't much is it?

Speaking of a Clydesdale's tRump ...
http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20170518-the-everyday-habits-that-reveal-our-personalities
Other research has looked at behaviours, some more obvious than others, that correlate with the so-called Dark Triad personality traits of Narcissism, Machiavellianism and Psychopathy. For example, ... and along with Machiavellians, are more likely to participate in and enjoy online trolling.
