Just up for a bit doing some rig checks, and I see that Gentleman Jord has left the kitty portal open for New Year's eve.
Thank you kind sir.
No similar accommodations offered on the Seti boards....LOL.

I'll be back later after some more snoozy time with the kitties.

Sooooooooooo....
I'll take this opportunity to wish all Setizens a happy and prosperous New Year.

As I'll be out for the afternoon and evening.
Not any bar hopping involved. Or much drinking for that matter.
I'll be spending it with Lori, her sister, and brother in-law as I have for many years. Lotsa foodsie treats, watch a few DVDs, and see in the new year safe and sane. Might have a sip of champagne as the clock ticks over, but that's all.

I hope that all my Seti friends enjoy their celebration of the event, whatever and wherever it may be.

Meow2016!!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR BOINCERS! :)

re octopi ??? octopusses ??? My twin and I saw one clambering about between rock pools when we were little and *highly offended blink* NO ONE BELIEVED US when we raced back to tell them. It seemed huge but was probably no larger than a small dog. That was the same day I found the jawbone - complete with teeth - of a shark and proudly took that to show everyone, believing they too would be interested in it and be happy to take it home with us... *highly offended blink* they weren't...

It's nice knowing we were right :)

My new year's resolution is to reinstall Windows 7 as the present installation is so corrupt, I can't even reach my hard drive index anymore. Fun.

Seeing how the corruption gets worse, I'm probably reinstalling tonight already.

Not the tallest, but very close to the Burj Khalifa, which IS the tallest skyscraper in the world.

I am trying very hard to save the life of my dear Tigger II kitty.
Shortly before the new year, I was petting my Tigger II and happened to brush upon the underside of her neck.
I felt a very large lump there. Thought at first that is was just the way she had her head turned or something, but no.....a very large lump.

Her lymph nodes in her neck are swollen beyond belief.

A trip to the vet and several hundreds of dollars later................
No sure diagnosis.
The tests of the lymph nodes revealed massive swelling, but the exact cause?
Not to be revealed.
Best guess on the vet's part is either a fungal infection OR cancer.

Nice choice, can I have door number 3 maybe???

So, poor Tigger was terrorized by the vets with innumerable pokes to get samples from the lymph nodes and get blood samples etc.........
Poor gurl hid for 3 days once I got her home. Scared as can be.

So, here's the thing. No sure diagnosis. The samples from the lymph nodes revealed a response to something.....but there was no cellular evidence of either fungal infection or cancer in the lymph nodes. Just 'something wrong'.
All her blood tests came back very good for a 14+ yo kitty, very good indeed.

So, being the logical person that I am, this is very hard to deal with. Make decisions with nothing really to base them on.

I have anti-fungal meds inbound air freight...should be here tomorrow.
Specially formulated by Roadrunnerpharmacy.com...a pet only pharmacy that specializes in putting up meds for offline uses for our companion animals.

Also have some homeopathic/herbal meds coming a day later. Which the vet did not either approve nor disapprove.

Tigger is still very active and perky.....eating her kibbles and drinking from the water bowl. I blocked her out of her hiding place under the dining room table so she has to stay on the warm waterbed with her sisters and where the food and water bowls are. So far, this has been a very good move.

Most of you know by now, there is little I would not do for my kitties.
They are aging, but this is too soon for little Tigger to leave my side.

Please, if you are so inclined, send a prayer or two up for Tigger.
It couldn't hurt.

Sorry to unload, but most of you know of my love of my kitties.
There is little I would not do for them.

Meow for now..............

So sorry. Lost my boy a year ago, and still mourning.
Here's hoping you can have good luck in pulling her through!

I have hope. I have my faith in God. I know some of you don't wish to hear about such things as you have no belief. I accept that if my God had deemed that Tigger's life has been fulfilled, and her time here is done, it shall be so.

I, however, am not quite ready to give up so easily..
And shall fight for her in whatever manner I am able to on her behalf.
