Methinks it's time for a new kitty for you.

Still thinking one might adopt me. Some older guy who needs new digs would be great. 2nd & 3rd hand beasts make the best roommates ... Kinda like me, come to think of it:)

Yes, some of those who have been bandied about can be the most appreciative when they finally fine their forever home.
Visit the shelters once in a while and test drive a few kitties...LOL.

Still not at the point where I can look at another cat and not see it lacking in comparison.

That changes as you come to know and love another kitty. They can never really replace those before them, but become special themselves.

The kitties will sit in their favorite corner by the fireplace.
Hope Jord stops by and notices that they didn't make such a mess this weekend.

9:01 PST and not outrage yet, they are teasing with us. 5 min later it looks like it is going down. We can now get suitably outraged.

If it wasn't them, then who peed on the hardwood floor to the right of the bar, behind the Wurlitzer?

Oh my, it wasn't the kitties....they have perfect litterbox etiquette.
Better ask the barkeep on duty who was being rowdy.
Do hope the hardwood cleaned up OK. I hear Murphy's Oil Soap works well on hardwood.

Or as Trapper John* once put it, "a zombie, and keep bringing them until I turn into one."

*Or was it Henry? Hawkeye?

Can't. Its internal storage got conveniently corrupted. I'll check the secret hidden camera though. If I can find it. Not secret and hidden for nothing.

At 1 PM PST we still are not back. Then when it returns we will get to see what surprises are left for us. The surprise last week was a doozy.

The surprise is that there's no work being split due to database adjustment work that doesn't end until tomorrow morning, but because tomorrow is a holiday in the US it can take even longer before work is flowing again. Isn't that a pleasant surprise? :)

Oh, criminy......
Tuesday is getting to be 'maintenance outage followed by miscellaneous disaster' day.
Got home from an 11 hour shift and noticed a couple of the killawatt meters not reading up to par. Was going to reboot a couple of rigs before I read the news.

Only thing flying about will be resends......
Which might help whittle down those invalid WUs recycling 10 times before they die.

Oh well. All part of being a Seti OCD, I guess.
As I have been known to say......

Meowsigh.

Well, as of a couple minutes ago, one splitter was active. Perhaps a test to see if repairs were good?
<ed>And now all the MB splitters are green.

I'm a government worker and I'm working. I'll get paid for it on a day in late December that would otherwise be an unpaid day off. Same with Columbus Day and Pulaski Day.

Well, I'm just average Joe Worker, so no holiday for me.
No mail today though.
The bills will have to wait to arrive until tomorrow.

Always thought they had it backwards. On Veterans Day, everyone is supposed to work unless you're a Vet. in 45 years, don't think I ever had that day off ...

Yeah, though I was surprised to find that when it comes to parcels USPS does deliver on holidays. Actually beat UPS by half an hour.
Net result, two more GTX 750ti crunchers for the Xeons. Boy are my toes staying warm today!!
If I had kitties, they'd be curled up at the rear of those computers, for sure ...
