Message 59464 - Posted: 9 Jan 2015, 23:19:06 UTC - in response to Message 59463.

Just a sidewinder....

A Wells Fargo bank in Sheboygan was robbed Friday afternoon by a man dressed in women’s clothing.

The Wells Fargo at 636 Wisconsin Ave. was robbed at 2:28 p.m.

The robber, a tall man with darker skin, possibly Hispanic, wore a fur coat and pink slippers and had dark lipstick.

The robber did not show a weapon.

He was last seen running from the bank.

Oh, honey, why didn't you call me for a date?
No pics were shown, unfortunately.
He was last seen running from the bank.......go figure.
I would have thought the last shots would have been of him touching up his makeup....................

Maybelline has no idea how hard it is for a gurl to keep a good appearance up whilst heisting the local bank....
Don't shoot me because I am beautiful.

I just luv costumes...may I touch?
You are just adorable, hon, but may I touch up my lipstick for the mugshot?

Just so's ya know.............
A post from the vast internet.

It was me.......responding to a question from a fellow kitty lover who had no answers....

Some love is just undefineable............impossible to explain.
I have loved many, laid more than a few to their final resting place. Nothing has ever moved me as much as the loving eyes of a cat. Ever.

Such is the love of a cat. It has been said that a man that can love a cat can do anything else in life, because he has already reached the peak of perfection in his life. And as such, has attained the highest of order.
I myself, do not wish such accolades from other men. Just those from the kitties I love. And kitty kisses are of the highest awards I have ever received.

As some might believe........
The movies 'How to Train Your Dragon, parts 1 and 2'
Were kid's movies.

Not so.

There is much more embedded into them.
I cried when toothless was led to kill Stoic.
Because he was led to that end by the Alpha demon.
And did not know what he had done.
He tried to nuzzle Stoic's hand and Hiccup shooed him away.
And he was clearly puzzled as to why.
I cried, because I understood.
By that point I was clearly in love with toothless.
I knew he was a cat in dragon's clothing.
And as I love all cats, this was a very touching scene.

Meow for now.. more later.

Once again, I have bared my soul.
About a simple dragon kitty in a kid's flick.
There are insights into my being that somehow I find it possible to try to explain to you here, on the boards, rather than trying to explain in person to Lori.

I don't think I could do so with her. I am that screwed up persona wize.

I am that bad with personal stuff. Really bad with that stuff.

And just how the F does one fall in love with a cartoon, aka Astrid?
This gets way weird, I know.

I am not immune to my own wildly torn trails.

America Ferrera as Astrid Hofferson. Striking, energetic, and tough, Astrid is a teenage embodiment of the Viking way. Her competitive, determined personality makes her hard to impress.

DreamWorks had long been interested in having Ferrera voicing one of their movies, and once invited, the actress picked up Cressida Cowell's book, which made her accept the job. Bonnie Arnold complimented how Ferrera "has a strong voice, but also a lot of heart in it" that helped make Astrid sympathetic even as she kept being rough to Hiccup.[3]

An artificial gurl on an artificial planet, and I have fallen for her???
LOL, I am truly the man's man of idiots...but that is me.
And I am in for a fall when she marries hiccup in the next of the series....
I shall be so heartbroken....But I shall await the ongoing animations of toothless.

Please do watch both movies............you shall be better for it.

Meow.

OK......let's get started..
My electric bills are anywhere from a high of $800.00 US dollars to $450.00 last month. And that directly relates to my crunching at the time.
I ditched Seti due to some differences of opinion and shut some crunchers down.

Some kitty dissers of you just don't get it.

I not only have a hardware bill to deal with if I wish to upgrade, but I had, every day and night, a power bill to deal with.

It comes in at the rate of some $20.00 per DAY to crunch at my rate, kids.
Every waking or non waking hour. The kitties and the crunchers don't sleep.

$20.00 a day, full moon or not. Waxing or waning.
The bill comes at the end of the month and I pay it.

33 cents an hour. Day or night.........
Me sleeping or sitting here talking to you.

As Neil Young once said.....rust never sleeps.
Neither do my crunchers.
Get a grip before you feel some real pain.
Shut down if you must.........but don't burden me with your stories about high power bills.........I have no sympathy for those.

Now you may understand why.

That's an expensive hobby you have there.

I don't understand why you would have no sympathy for people who can't pay for the necessities of life just because you can afford to spend $800 per month on your hobby. That doesn't make sense to me.

hiccup is the embodiment of a teenage guy.
Astrid is the embodiment of a teenage gurl.
They fall in love, ...LOL, eventually.

Toothless just grins, as always. As cats do.

Astrid marries hiccup in the next movie, I'll bet.
And I'll go further out on a limb......
I'll bet that toothless finds a love interest in the last movie, which has not been explored just yet.

Toothless is too good a kitty not to have a good drangoness by his side.

Any takers? I'll bet that toothless has the biggest smile on his face in the franchise come the end of the 3rd movie.

You thought he was fancy when he got his blue fins?
He is going to shine even brighter come the 3rd installment of these movies.

Meow, I got to go shine up my kitty fins now...........the directors want my cut. How did I make that turn?? Toothless is looking at me................
meow..........

ES.. let me try to explain.
I do have sympathy for those who cannot crunch at my level.
I don't have sympathy for those who wish they could and then take it out on the boards as pithy bits against Eric, Matt, and Jeff.
I do not accept idiots lightly. Never have. Even when I get stupid late at night, I look at it in the morning and say WTF, Mark????

Not many have chosen my route in life. Given the consequences, I am not sure that years ago, I would have.

I am sitting here. 3 cats and 9 computers. And you, ES.
And you.
Your middle name ain't Astrid, by any chance? (giggles aloud)

Meow.

Yeah, gurl, it is an expensive hobby.
When one takes Seti to the other level, it raises the stakes in spades.
It was intended to be a sideline, just when your daily driver was not doing anything else...spare cycles, you see.
That was the original intent.

Some of us then went overboard....building computers with not other purpose that to create those spare cycles. And then came along GPUs.........OMG....more and faster spare cycles.

So, I have evolved into a major crunching kitty.

And have more computing power on tap here at home than some small enterprises do.
I am probably the Russian's next target...LOL.

I don't hope that everybody shall appreciate what I do......clearly, some don't give a shit, or see me as an elitist. Perhaps I am.

I happen to be the #1 home only Seti cruncher on this planet.
And I also happen to be openly proud of that fact.
Those above me? One is 'testing' some worldwide servers.
The next guy, he wanked his way onto an entire school system's desktops.
And has since backed off........I wonder why. I am talking total all time Seti credits here...

I am not doing anything anybody else cannot do...........
Go ahead, you spend the money to launch 9 rigs with 22 GPUs...
Even then, it shall take you years to catch the kitties.

The roads that led me here, well...kiddo. They are long and winding indeed.

Mewo.

And I'll take this one step further into the breach.

Do I truly care what you think of me?

Yes and no would be the answer.

As a single entity, yes, I do care what another person on this planet considers me to be.
Your, and all other opinions do matter to me. To a point. At which, I am what the recent movie calls..........Divergent.
If you have seen the movie you will understand.
I shall NOT be tossed into any little cubbyholes that please others.
I am not going to go there, no matter the cost.
I am a free thinking, outspoken individual. And I have a few more left under the bonnet to be so, I hope.
And in that respect, no, I don't give a rat's petoot what you think of me.

Will they sway my behavior? Probably not, it has not since my recorded Seti history.

I enjoy the notariety that my crunching success has afforded me.
I also have enjoyed the ability I have had in the psst to enjoin others in my efforts to support the project via my fundraisers.

Green stars be my game, kiddo. If nobody else notices, I have also donated almost 3 grand in cash over the years. So I am not just talking trash.

I am divergent...........and some of you simply have to accept that as the truth.
I state what I have to say, without looking over my shoulder to see what the 'in crowd' has accepted or not.......
Frankly, it does not concern me.
I have done more and shall continue to do more in the search for ET signals than any of you shall know, even if I have to abandon my public presence.

I have a lot of cats in the hunt, kiddos. 9 computers, 22 or so GPUs, and 3 kitties.

And if you wanna hunt me down, I am easy to find.
Just check the top users page. I'll be there, kids.
I'll be there for at least a few more years before I fade to dust in the Seti pages of history. Make no doubt about it.

As mu favorite Cajun cook used to say........

I guaranteeeee.

It is the same story........
Niki Lauder and James Hunt knew that.
You hate me because I am faster than you about the track.
And ya know what.......
Ya might catch me, but you will never beat me.

Yes, I know Niki.

He got in the car nary two months after his tragic crash and raced again.
James Hunt, as I recall, died of a heart attack a few years into his 40s.

So, I know I got one race, kids.

This is my race, and I am winning it.
Please don't try to punish me for laps I have not yet run.

As Niki said in the racer's bit before his tragic crash......
We should not run this race, but........I am faster than all of you, so it is in my advantage that we do so.

The closer you are to death, The more live you feel...............
My '64 Olds F85 did a couple of death spirals before it settled on it's rood back in my teen years. One car...one driver. Me. Roof crushed down to the fenderlines. Seatbelt held. It was the tires. I have not crashed a car since then, except for my '69 GS400 when outracing the cops. I won, but crashed the car into a cornfield at 120+.
My right hand has not been the same since. Shift hand. Muncie rock crusher.
It bit me hard.
I lived hard as a kid. I raced hard, and seldom lost. I had cars fast enough to back up my arse. And I still do.

Meow.

Wanna race an '85 GSLSE RX7 with 4:11 gears?
Might not get you top end, but I'll get you offa the line any time.
I have taken a few titles at the track from those bold enough to try it.
One '69 Charger, got about 8 grand for that one.
And a silly arese big block Ford Fairlane convertable.
He had a big block in it, but no sense.
Mine, about 5 grand later down the 1/4 mile.

Yes, there are still tracks where pink slips are betted.
I have won a few, never lost one.

Lessons learned.

Do not boast about what you are not sure of.
If you are sure of it, bust it to the limits, or you might lose it.

I did not track the RX this summer, I am waiting for the new crop of Jap car bouz next year. Most of them, even being young bottle rocket racers, have never seen a Wankel powered RX7. I am going to take a few pink slips home, I think. And to beat them, I have one thing going. They cannot HP rate a wankel.
It's just weight for weight. The also have to give up something for nitrous. which I do not use....
So, they give a a couple hundred pounds off of the line, and I smoke 'em down the 1/4 mile. Yeah, they are stroking there sweet Matsubishi's off at the end of the track, but I got them in the traps.
When I and the track officials explain that to them, they get wild.
It's in the rules. Best time within previously established times wins.

I can launch the RX and get withing a quarter second of each previous pass.
It is just that reliable. Whang, bang, thank you m'amm.
I have it dialed in that tight.

Meow.

I usually run the track before the time trials just to see where I am at.
Believe it or not, most of the guys just get out there and run it cold.
These young kida are just that bold and brazen.
They look at me in my 30yo GSLSE. It is an '85, kids.
The get into their Mahabishshis...and dial in their computers...and there is no entry for an '85 RX7, so their computer does not know what they have to do to beat it.
That is what they do these days...........they actually have files on other cars, dialing in what they might have to do to win the race.

I am not on their charts, so they usually go full balls. This defeated them, because most of the young kids blast their tires at the go line. I have wonderfully sticky BF Gooodriches, which my local dealer co sponsors.

He says it is the best adverts he ge5s all year.
I stopped in for an alignment after my overhaul of the Olds suspension this fall.
I did not run last year and he says....buddy, you trackin' this summer?
Give ya new tires...got then right here...
Sticky as hell. I says...Hell, I ain't worn out last year's set yet....LOL
He says..."I need the publicity. Could you do just one run on these just so's I can say you run 'em on the track? Win or lose, I got a couple hundred on ya on the side, so you run fast, eh? It sells a lotta tires, buddy. Be much obliged if you would....."

Yeah, I do a few things outside of Seti.
Meow.

Why? I dunno.
History favors the advantaged mind.

The moral of the story I just told is this.
When pissing on a racer, you best know the history of just who you are pissing upon.
I tell my stories full and bold.
I do not pull punches.
I have been more places and done more things than some of you should like to admit me.
This pisses you off somewhat.
And I don't care if it does.
This pisses you off somewhat more.
And I drive on.
This pisses you off to the max.
So be it, friends/.
You are finally dealing with something you should have months ago.
You can continue to ban be until 2038.
Or you can get contrite and end your ignorance.
Your choice, not mind.
If this post galls you, well it should.

Niki said......quoted.
Yeah, A wise man gets more from his enemies that a fool from his friends...............
So have I.

I am not your usual Sunday driver.
And you cannot, or at least should not, continue to treat me as such.

The movie Rush says it all.
At the end, Nike says.................
When I heard of him dying at 45, I was sas.

If i some day do not post for a week of so, I hops you are sad too.
Because it is then that I have run MY race.
I did stock cars back in my youth, but never anything approaching formula titals.
I had one guy come up to me back in '80 who asked me who I was.
He was a tracker for the big time.
I said simply............I am just a guy, leave me alone.
He did so. They did not need any more James Hunt characters at the time.

He did reply simply.............I understand Sir.

That was the end of it. I was then relegated to small tracks and less than fast cars. I still own the RX7...and can beat most at the track this summer is I choose to do so. LOL, it is a sleeper.

There are some things I should show you.

Go to the Kitte radio stations thread.

You read too much teen fiction, that's what you do. LOL!

I read teen fiction sometimes because I raising lots of teens and they recommend books to me. Talk about an expensive hobby, raising teens, that is.

Do you have any idea how much the average teenage boy eats?

I got bigger problems that seeing how much I can do for seti. I do what I can, the rest of my time and money goes into raising 4 boys into decent men that don't disrespect women and don't use drink and drugs as emotional crutches.

That's hard work. You've no idea. You were a teenage boy once, would you want to raise yourself?

Do your hobby, and I'll do mine, and I know which one of us has more insight into why grown men b*tch and whine to mummy/daddy admin.

Boys will be boys and so will men.

AnnieT update

The physio progresses well but as she says it is a learning curve knowing between when it is supposed to hurt a little bit, to when you should stop there. Her daughter was staying with her for some time, but now her sister, a trained nurse, is coming down for a few days. The meds are making her eyesight a little fuzzy so not condusive to keyboard typing just yet.

As before she sends her very best wishes and still misses you lot :-)

And more of the best kitty wishes going out to her as she heals.
Get well soon, Annie.

The kittyman is having a great day today.
Dunno why. Don't need to know why. I just am.
Seti is clicking along wonderfully. Even if it crashes now, I am having a great run of AP work.

And this reminds me of some things that make me happy.
Whiskers on kittens are the best part........

ES...
I really try hard not to belittle those who donate their efforts to this project in a lesser way than I do.
It is not my intent.

I do realize that for my best intents and work here, there are multitudes of others that in total, contribute much more than I can by myself.

I have to stay content in the fact that I am doing, as a single home user, more than any other single user on this planet. Now think about that fact........and what it means. Per the Seti stats page, I am currently #6 by RAC. But here is the important thing in my estimation....I am #3 on the PLANET for total contribution. Yes, there are two others higher than myself. One commandeered the resources of a school system, and the other has immense access to a big server network.
I have a buddy, MJS, that comes close to what I am doing, and he makes me very proud. He is a confidant, and fellow GPUUG teammate.

And that does mean a lot to me. Proud? Yes, I am.
Overly so? Perhaps at times I am. Your judgement, not mine.

Seti be my baby. The few times I have shut all the rigs down over the past years, it gets deathly quiet in here. Spooky quiet.
I have acclimated to the sounds of fast fans and heat exchangers over the years.
And when I don't hear that, I get kinda scared.
