Not sure where Chris holds house in the UK, but it's pretty stormy weather there with power outages, floods and more such fun.

Well, I hope it has not too adversely affected my dear friend across the big pond.
Good wishes, Chris.

Well, that tooth thingy is starting to act up just a tad, and I cannot get into the dentist until Monday....
So, it might be a long weekend for me.

Uh, oh...or maybe not.
Somethings afoot. Or a meter.
Cricket graphs just dived, and server response to queries is dodgy at best.

Tanked again...
A query of my tasks in play has been waiting for response for 10 minutes or more.
Maybe 'da boyz in da lab' are at play.
Hope things sort soon.

Nothing showing at UCB IST Service Status.

Cricket is down by about half, but it's still pretty well up there.

Oh, geez.
My kitty Bandit, just whacked me.
She decided she wanted up, on my lap.
And then she did not.......so she tore off leaving a few of my flesh bits behind her.
If I may say this politely, my nut sack is now bleeding profusely...bad kitty.
It shall not require surgery, I think. Dang it, kitty.........................
More than you really wanted to know, I am sure.

ZOOM..............

Meowow ow ow.

I was hoping that the additional information might help sooth some of the grumbling going on.

lol, that's not grumbling, that's people who don't know what to do with their lives. I was sitting here shaking my head in wonder of those posts. And figuring that if you felt so strongly about it, that the first thing you'd do then was rip out the checkbook and write them a massive donation, before telling them that you were coming over with lots of helpful and knowledgeable volunteers to do an Extreme Makeover, Seti Edition.

But alas, I can only dream. :)

That would be nice, but some of us are more concerned with how we are going to pay for our gas bill right now. My conversation with the gas company went something like this:

Gas company "will you be able to pay the outstanding amount by the end of next week"

Me: "alas, I can only dream"

So we all have dreams, Jord, we all have dreams... ;)

Perhaps this is the solution to my heating troubles?

Super-insulated clothing could eliminate need for indoor heating

Ugh, don't start. My company just increased me from a €115.- a month cash advance to a €170.- a month cash advance just because they expect this to be a brutal winter. 3 days of snow == a brutal winter. It's 12 Celsius (53.6 F) at the moment, and it's coming up to 11pm. In winter. A brutal winter.

OK......let's get started..
My electric bills are anywhere from a high of $800.00 US dollars to $450.00 last month. And that directly relates to my crunching at the time.
I ditched Seti due to some differences of opinion and shut some crunchers down.

Some kitty dissers of you just don't get it.

I not only have a hardware bill to deal with if I wish to upgrade, but I had, every day and night, a power bill to deal with.

It comes in at the rate of some $20.00 per DAY to crunch at my rate, kids.
Every waking or non waking hour. The kitties and the crunchers don't sleep.

$20.00 a day, full moon or not. Waxing or waning.
The bill comes at the end of the month and I pay it.

33 cents an hour. Day or night.........
Me sleeping or sitting here talking to you.

As Neil Young once said.....rust never sleeps.
Neither do my crunchers.
Get a grip before you feel some real pain.
Shut down if you must.........but don't burden me with your stories about high power bills.........I have no sympathy for those.

Now you may understand why.

Personal thermal management, eh?
I am personally managing to stay above freezing with the crunchers at full bore and the oil furnace on standby.......
And it's some minus 2 or 3 F here now.

Just a sidewinder....

A Wells Fargo bank in Sheboygan was robbed Friday afternoon by a man dressed in women’s clothing.

The Wells Fargo at 636 Wisconsin Ave. was robbed at 2:28 p.m.

The robber, a tall man with darker skin, possibly Hispanic, wore a fur coat and pink slippers and had dark lipstick.

The robber did not show a weapon.

He was last seen running from the bank.

Oh, honey, why didn't you call me for a date?
No pics were shown, unfortunately.
He was last seen running from the bank.......go figure.
I would have thought the last shots would have been of him touching up his makeup....................

Maybelline has no idea how hard it is for a gurl to keep a good appearance up whilst heisting the local bank....
Don't shoot me because I am beautiful.
May I touch up my lipstick for the mugshot?
