For some reason whenever I open BOINC manager on my Mac it will automatically close the app right after it starts up. I noticed this happening sometime after I installed BOINC on my laptop PC. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it on the Mac, but that didn't work.

Thanks,
Bobby

Which BOINC version is this with?
What OS do you run on your Mac, OS X (and then which version) or Windows (and then which version), 32bit or 64bit?

Difficult to follow, but do you have a problem on your laptop PC as well? Or did you mean with 'laptop PC' your Mac?

I can't get the BOINC manager open long enough to verify which version it is. However, I just downloaded it again today with the latest version to see if that was the problem, but that didn't work either.

The OS is Mac OS 10.8.2 and is 64-bit. This is the system that started having this issue. BOINC works great on the PC (Windows 7, 64-bit).

Update: I found the version number for BOINC by looking in Finder. It's 7.0.31.

Can you please check in your BOINC Data directory in /Library/Applications Support/BOINC/ what is in stderrgui.txt?

I got it working. I ended up uninstalling it, but this time I then went into Finder and deleted all of the related files that didn't get uninstalled. After reinstalling it it's now working. Thanks for your time and help.
