Hi, I've been running Boinc for some months now without problems. A week ago I noticed that 2 completed jobs weren't uploading. they were both 'climate prediction' jobs. I let it go at first because I assumed that it would fix itself.
However after a few days of no movement I tried the 'retry' tab. After numerous attempts one of the tasks uploaded.

No luck with the other one.

I'm running boinc version 7.0.24 now, and was running 6.12.34 when this began.

I was using ubuntu 12.04 now, and was using 11.10 when this began.

The upgrades haven't fixed the problem, nor has numerous restarts.

CPU is intel pentium 4, 3Ghz x2, Mem 1.5Gb, avail disc space 16.2Gb

Tasks running are climate prediction (although none at the moment), Malaria search, Cancer cure, and Sustainable water.

Don't seem to be having any trouble with the other tasks.

I'm not overly concerned about it as it certainly isn't affecting my use, I just thought the researches might want their results, and it might be a sign of a problem beginning.

Please check Climate Prediction's forums first for news. As it says in their news thread:
As can be seen from the Server Status page, 2 of the upload servers are currently shut down due to hard disk problems:

* uploader.oerc receives the final upload files (_13.zip) for all of the Weather at Home (HadAM3P regional) tasks. These files are required to generate the atmosphere and ocean restart files for the next data set in the task series.

* uploader1.atm receives the intermediate uploads (_1.zip to _12.zip) for some of the hadam3p_eu tasks.

Jonathan is planning to install a Virtual Machine to take over their jobs tomorrow. Hopefully the available pool of work won't be exhausted before he completes the job.

Similar problem to others, but not quite.

CPDN running apparently normally - downloading OK, processing OK and uploading OK - but not quite. One job (hadm3p_eu_2sba_1975_1_008186233_0) seems not to want to upload. It is complete (according to the Tasks tab) and there are 5 files sitting on the Transfer tab waiting to be uploaded that have now been there for several days. Other Tasks have been completed and uploaded since and there are two running completely normally as I type.

1) Why would one task fail to upload when others complete and upload perfectly well?
2) Is there anything that I can do about it?
3) Is there anything that I should do about it?

No other BOINC jobs currently running, nor have there been for some weeks (certainly not since the 'rogue' job started), nor any others awaiting upload - just the 5 files waiting.

Plenty of empty disk space and re-booting hasn't helped. BOINC v7.0.28.

All suggestions most welcome and thanks in advance!

It's usually best to discuss project-specific problems with the project concerned, but since you ask:

Friday 31 Aug: "HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error" - a disk had failed, and a replacement ordered.
Monday 03 Sep: replacement disk installed
Tuesday 04 Sep: "we are in the congested phase" (uploads working again, slowly)
Friday 07 Sep: "Server is out of disk space"
Friday 14 Sep: "she is virtually full", currently feels like moving deckchairs on the Titanic.
Monday 17 Sep: "Uploader1.atm is now back in action with 750 GB free."

Won't take long to fill that up...
