Started getting my IP on some blacklists roughly around the same time as installing boinc. Specifically, for sending out emails using smtp unauthenticated. I know it's unlikely, but just want to confirm that boinc does not send any unauthenticated emails out? (I wasn't aware that it sends updates via smtp at all, just checking...)

Already investigating other causes, bots, infections, firewall settings etc but I thought I'd ask about this seeing as how the time line is similar.
