Hello. I am new to the animation world and just started to learn blender. I really enjoy the program and I am even considering it as a career, but since I am operating on a laptop, render times are slow. So, I started to look for alternatives while trying to spend the least amount of money. After some Google searches, I stumbled on a few website that gave alternatives to making a render farm. One of them suggested to use boinc as an online render farm. So, I went to this website and tried to find how I could join the program. But, it did not seem like the purpose of the program was the same as how I saw it. I thought I could use the idle computers to finish my renders, but now I figured out I could only share my idle computer time, not use everyone else’s. (But, I am now participating in BOINC) Is this correct? If it is, are there any other, possibly free, online render farms?

Other BOINC projects that are Renderfarms:
http://www.renderfarm.fi/
http://burp.renderfarming.net/

You may want to contact them to ask them how they did it.
