The S@H upload server is currently down, but the scheduler and download servers are running fine - so I should be able to download new WUs.

I've a few S@H results waiting in 'Upload pending' status, and I've run out of WUs to crunch - the download servers are up, and when I click on 'Update' button, I get these messages:
17/06/2011 16:16:21 | SETI@home | update requested by user
17/06/2011 16:16:23 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
17/06/2011 16:16:23 | SETI@home | Not reporting or requesting tasks
17/06/2011 16:16:26 | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed

I was expecting to still be able to download WUs to crunch.

Is this a bug?

K.

When the number of uploading tasks for a project exceeds two times the number of CPUs, the client doesn't fetch more work from that project. The thought behind this is this: Why continue to download work when you cannot upload it anyway?

So this is on a dual core CPU 2 * 2 + 1
On a quad core 2 * 4 + 1
On an octo core 2 * 8 + 1
Etc.

It won't stop work being downloaded from other projects your BOINC is attached to. If it does, then that's a bug.
