My tasks all have a status of "Suspended - computation suspended"

How do I get them to (re)start ?

My projects are not suspended.
I have no restrictions on time of day or other cpu usage.
If I suspend a task the state changes to "Suspended by user", and if I resume it it goes back to "Suspended - computation suspended".

This has just suddenly happened, not instantly, but sometime in the last few days, I've been running the client for several years. Current version is 6.10.58 on Linux

Thanks

Check what the Activity menu is saying, please?
It should say "Run Always" or "Run based on preferences".

This is normally set by whomever can use BOINC Manager. I haven't heard of a bug in these preferences in a long time. So let's say, Gremlins. :-)

Computation Suspended -- inappropriately.

For the past few weeks my tasks refuse to run unless I select "Run Always" in the Activities Menu.

My Boinc Manager version is 6.12.26 (x86), recently upgraded but the problem also occurred with the previous version. I"ve been a BOINC user for around 10 years and have not experienced this before.

My Boinc Manager Preferences are set as follows

(Unchecked) While Computer is on Batteries
(Unchecked) While Computer is in Use
(Unchecked) Use GPU while computer is in Use
Only after computer has been idle for 3.0 minutes
While Processor Speed is less than 60%
Every day between 0.00 and 0.00
No day of week override is checked

The three "other options" at the bottom of the screen are default.

Today I left my machine unattended for hours, and came back to find than no activity had occurred on any of the 3 active tasks.

Incidentally, some of these options are ambiguous. IN particular "only after computer has been idle . . ." seens to contradict "while computer is in use". How these two options interrelate seems to be left for the user to guess, although I'm sure the designer understood it perfectly.

I presume that you are using a windows operating system. If so, check that the boinctray.exe process is running, otherwise BOINC can't determine if your computer is "in use" or not.

As for the "ambiguous" options: if you check "While Computer is in Use", "Only after computer has been idle for 3.0 minutes" becomes inaccessible (disabled).
