Updating BOINC from 6.10.58 to 6.12.28 on Mandriva 2009.1, 2010.0 and 2010.1 all result in the following errors being displayed when run_client is executed.

./boinc: /usr/lib/libssl.so.0.9.8: no version information available (required by ./boinc)
./boinc: /usr/lib/libcrypto.so.0.9.8: no version information available (required by ./boinc)
./boinc: /usr/lib/libcurl.so.4: no version information available (required by ./boinc)
./boinc: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.11' not found (required by ./boinc)

All of these libraries exist but there seems to have been a change in the requirements with this newer version. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is it up to the developers?

Reverting to 6.10.58 allows boinc to start and run correctly.

Posting it again will not get you help earlier. I'll leave your original thread on the subject open. It's in its correct place. I did forward the info to the developers, but they are on vacation and are only sporadically available. Give them a break, ey? :-)
