Hello I am having a problem I was running boinc just fine till I tried to upgrade. I am running a Pony 9800- GT video card and it seems that when I upgraded the driver Boinc quit running and I have tried everything (with the help of Mike Bader) and nothing we tried works. Presently I do not have any boinc software installed and I just cleamed the registry and uninstalled whatever software (both Boinc and NVidia) and reinstalled and still nothing. The error that I am now getting is 1714 which says that there is an olderversion of Boinc installed and to contact the administrator (I am) to resolve the problem. I have rechecked everything again to no avail. HELP!!!!!!!!!

PS I am running a Gateway 4300DX with an AMD 4 core processor with Windows 7 with 8 gig of ram

A search for "error 1714" will lead you to the thread Unable to upgrade.
