My Boinc manager is not automatically dialing up to the internet.

I've set my ISP to be the default ISP (as opposed to choosing local network or auto-detect) but it still gives me a speech bubble rather than just connect and disconnect afterwards....

Have you guys thought of updating/implementing an auto-connect feature?

have you set up your "general preferences", and also set up your dial up connection under the "options" file menu on the manager?

these are the pertainent General Prefs:

Network usage
Confirm before connecting to Internet?
(matters only if you have a modem, ISDN or VPN connection) no
Disconnect when done?
(matters only if you have a modem, ISDN or VPN connection) no
Maximum download rate: 200 KB/s
Maximum upload rate: 200 KB/s

note: you'll have to update the project that you changed the preferences under for them to take affect.
