I've posted a detailed message under the thread "can't install BOINC", in the 'BOINC manager' forum; didn't know if it went there or here under 'core client'. I had already tried to find an answer, which is how I ended up adding my post to someone else's thread. Will someone please look at it to see if you can help, or let me know if I need to repost it here in 'core client'.
