Hello,

I'm trying to get a new build of boinc 6.6.36 rebuilt using Xcode3.2. There are a couple of stumbling blocks that I've run into. First off there is no longer support for 10.3.9 sdk as such the guard code that exists in the library build scripts (setupMacBuild.sh) halts the build of the libraries. So I tried to build with the boinc.xcodeproj project file and it halts rather quickly with 'GCC 4.2 is not compatible with the Mac OS X 10.4 SDK (file app_ipc.cpp)'. Has anyone tried to build under Xcode 3.2? Is there a method to do so yet?

Thanks

For now, I'm building BOINC 6.10 with XCode 3.1.2 under OS 10.5, and building only the 64-bit architecture of the BOINC screen saver using OS 10.6 and XCode 3.2. The OS 6.10 build script then uses lipo to merge the 64-bit BOINC screen saver into the universal binary of the screen saver built with XCode 3.1.2.

This is a temporary solution to fully allow OS 6.10 to fully support OS 10.3.9 through OS 10.6. I hope to find a solution to allow building completely on OS 10.6 in the next few weeks. The lack of support in XCode 3.2 for building OS 10.3.9 applications is a major concern.

Thank you. I'll try to back off to Xcode to 3.1.2 and build a boinc 6.10. Good luck with the solution to building with Xcode 3.2.
