Running XP Pro with all updates, and BOINC Manager 5.10.45. Have always had BOINC as a startup program with screensaver, etc. After an extensive system upgrade (same OS on new hard drive, etc.), I have to manually run BOINC to get it going.

To correct this, do I need to uninstall and reinstall the current version? Any special steps along the way?

Thanks,

John

I've got the same version of BOINC running on XP, which i just upgraded to SP3.
So far, i haven't had the problem you are experiencing, though i don't have it set as a screen saver, just the manager in the Startup folder.
Also, i installed the OS from scratch, then installed BIONC. It may be worth it to just uninstall and reinstall BOINC.

Cheers

Or you could simply put a shortcut to boincmgr in the Windows startup folder.
