Hello,

I am using boinc_6.3.3_windows_intelx86.exe, released on 06-Jun-2008 at 13:10, with a Pentium 4 computer running Windows XP Service Pack 3 French.

I am currently computing a World Community Grid project, FightAids@Home, and the computation results are reset to 6,31% each time I suspend and resume computation or switch between users on Windows XP by closing a Windows session to open a new session for the other user sharing the computer.

I believe this could be a bug, although it could be a defective calculation unit from FightAids@Home.

I will revert back to Boinc 6.1.0 for windows on intelx86 which never gave me any problem.

As a matter of fact, Boinc 6.1.0 for windows on intelx86 should probably become the next standard version of Boinc for Windows.

And thanks for the advice. I kind of remember that version 6.3.1 or 6.3.2 wasn't ready for prime time either. I'll definitely stick to 6.1.0 for the time being. Thanks again.

Why use an outdated alpha build? If you want to alpha test, then use the current alpha build. If you don't, use the current stable build.

Was there even an "offical" 6.1.0? Isn't that Crunch3r's 3rd party build? (not that there's anything wrong with it, just old outdated code).

The current numbering scheme is:

Major version. minor version. build number

If the minor version is ODD, it is not meant to be released.

If the minor version is EVEN, it is supposed to be a release version (however, we have been finding enough bugs in 6.2.x to get up to build 11, and it has not been released yet.
