Message 14583 - Posted: 30 Dec 2007, 15:01:23 UTC

I have a project from which I wish to temporarily detach.
I made sure no new tasks would start after the current task finished up. Now the task is finished and it is "Ready to Report". The task was allowed to run to a time on 1.3.08.

It has been "Ready to Report for 6 hours.

When might I expect it to report, so that I can move on?

Thanks,

BOINC will automatically report after 24 hours, or if new work is asked for.
If you don't want to wait, open BOINC Manager, Advanced view, Projects tab, select the project this is on, click Update. Then the task will be reported.

You don't need to detach from any project, just by setting it to No New tasks (and/or Suspended) will it no longer ask for work or do much of anything. By staying attached to the project you'll make sure that in the future you don't have renewed trouble with the CPID.

Thanks for your note. The reason I would detach and re-attach, this was suggested as possibly the solution to a problem I have been having with this specific project.

I tried it and it seems to have succeeded.
