It seems as though Boinc 5.10.28 is not actually starting when rebooting or starting Vista X64 on my AMD 5200 +, 4gb ram.

That is the icon isn't showing up in the task bar until I manually start Boinc - I'm fairly sure it's a Vista permission thing but not sure how to fix it.

Any Suggestions?

Would it work if started via a DOS batch script run from the startup folder? (I haven't got Vista so I have no idea).

I tried the start up option - but no joy there..

It's really back to Windows Defender - until it is recognized by M$ and Defender it seems as though it will always be an issue.

I've found even with the service option that I am not connecting to projects or rather they aren't starting and I am just getting the Boinc Screen Saver with "Boinc is currently Inactive" or whatever it says....

So it seems as though there is still an issue with Vista 64? / Windows Defender.
