I think I'm posting this in the right spot. I just installed version 5.10.22 on PCBSD 1.3.

Everything appears to be OK other than a blank host name appearing in the projects and the boincstats site. My LAN can see the host name just fine.

My apologies if this has been covered. If it has then I'll appreciate if someone can point out a thread with a solution to the blank name.

I went into the Computer summary on one of the projects and it refers to the host name as a domain name. I went into PCBSD's network settings and copied my host name into the "domain" name field to see if that's what the project and account manager wants.

I think there isn't specific code in BOINC to get the hostname under BSD. That's the kind of thing that needs platform-specific code.
