Ports to open for Boinc.exe: TCP 80.
Ports to open on LAN for Boinc.exe and Boincmgr.exe: TCP 1043 and TCP 31416.

Proxy? One of choice.
BOINC will only pop up the request for a proxy, if your connection is too slow in connecting. Check your firewall.

IF (!) you are connected to internet through proxy, you can write down settings from: START / Control Panels / Internet settings / Connections

If you are connected directly, you can leave these settings blank.

One possible problem - using BOINC 5.2.x I CANNOT connect through proxy (which requires authorization). With BOINC 4.xx can connect without problem. Now will try 5.2.8 and hope :)
