I'm running Rosetta@home under BOINC, and a completed workpackage has gotten stuck during uploading back to the server. The BOINC status for the Rosetta@home workpackage shows Progress = 100.0 and Status = Uploading. And there it has sat for the last two days. I have also been unable to download any new Rosetta@home workpackages.

In the interim, I have downloaded workpackages and uploaded results for SETI@home, so I know that my network connections are intact and BOINC/SETI is responding as it should.

I have highlighted the rosetta@home workpackage line in the BOINC manager and tried to Suspend it and Abort it and Resume it in all possible combinations, all the while clicking on Commands->Retry Communications, and nothing works.

Under BOINC Messages, I see entries in red for Rosetta@home that say "Error on file upload: can't open log file." So I suspect that there is a corrupted log file. I'm certainly prepared to give up this workpackage so that I can get on with new Rosetta workpackages, but apparently I can't get new Rosetta work until the stuck-upload becomes cleared.

How do I clear this stuck upload due to a corrupted log file?

Ever thought of checking the Rosetta homepage? ;-)

They had a crash of their server and are presently rebuilding the filesystem. It can take a day or more.

No need to do anything about the Rosetta result you are trying to upload. BOINC will automatically retry every so often to upload it. In other words, there is nothing wrong with the result. It's a problem with Rosetta! The log file mentioned is on the Rosetta server...
