Hi,

I have a core duo 2 cpu, which means two cpu's in the boinc manager. The current version, 5.10.13, is changing tasks between the two cpus all the time.

Is there any way of telling the manager to attach one task to one specific cpu, and let the other cpu switch between other tasks?

The reason I want to do this is climate prediction. Since this task is quite time consumming, I would like to attach this task to one cpu, so it runs always. And let the other cpu switch between all my other projects.

Thanks,

Leo

That looks like an imaginative solution. If Leo tries this I think he may also need to set cpdn to No new tasks in the Projects tab to avoid getting an extra climate model before the first has finished (if he hasn't already set this).

Guys, thanks a lot for the ideas... I'll try them after reading a bit more about those options...
