With Boinc Manager 5.8.17 my G5 benchmarks flop/int at around 1084/3650. With 5.10.7 it is 970/3300.

Why the 10% drop?

I've just installed 5.10.17. It gets stranger.

Whet Dhry
1084 3650 5.8.17
970 3300 5.10.7
1014 3040 5.10.17

Clearly the Mac's processing speed is unchanged, but the integer benchmark gets slower with every release of Boinc Manager.

Don't some projects still use benchmark results for credit claim? And the higher the better, right?

Even if it doesn't actually matter, I find it a bit odd. Anyone got any guesses what's going on?

The newer benchmarks are more towards the truth than the benchmarks in the 5.8 client were.
