5.10.8 Linux 64 Bit: libtiff.so.3: cannot open shared object file

What's the problem here? BOINC 7.2.42 (x86_64) on Linux Ubuntu 16.04 (64 Bit), AMD APU 7850K 3.7 GHz, 32 GB RAM. ID: 11192 ·

What's the problem here? Does the client run? The client runs on mine, but not boincmgr........it's been that way since 5.9.11. I did not get the message you mention, but I run it from GUI. It looks like some 20 year old GUI (like earliy versions of BOINC) on my Ubuntu Linux. It seems it uses some oldish GUI toolkit (tcl/tk?). How can I get back the better GUI?
