Message 9453 - Posted: 9 Apr 2007, 11:37:21 UTC

I keep recieving the above message when ever I start up the boinc manager (Republic). Then I have to connect to the local host using the select computer under advanced tab.

I must be missing a file or a parameter in some file but have not been able to figure out which one.

Does anyone have an idea of where to look or how to correct this problem??

Thanks in advance.

The message "Host location: none" has nothing to do with localhost or how BOINC Manager connects to BOINC. It sets the venue for you. If you set no venue at the project(s) you are attached to, or set the venue/computer location to "---", you get host location: none.
