Hey, I'm sorry if this question has cropped up before, but I can't seem to find it.

Basically, I'm trying to get BOINC to stop starting up the moment I switch on my computer. I'm running Mac OS X 10.4. I found some instructions somewhere saying that if I stick my username in some file called "nologinitems.txt" and ran the installer, it would not login again. However, I couldn't get this to work. I also tried changing the preferences in BOINC manager itself, and that didn't work either.

It's driving me crazy, so if anyone can help me, that would be fantastic.

Incidentally, there is also a file called "#nologinitems.txt#", but I can't read it. I wonder if that is the file that I am supposed to edit?

What kind of installation do you have? Doesn't removing BOINC Manager from the Login Items pane in the Accounts area of System Preferences do what you want?
