Hi fellow BOINCers!

It's a basic question, but I'm not getting it.
I'm setting up on a new machine, and was prompted to select a computer.
The "host name" translates to the computer name.
Now the toughie: what password does it want?
It's not my SETI password; I just changed that, since I've been logging on by copying and pasting that old login string.

It's changed, since I logged in here.

sadly, I won't be crunching until I figure it out, or get some help.

Thanks in advance!

Hi again,

sheepishly, I have to admit that the string was already in the password feild.
I wrongly assumed I'd have to enter something, and mucked about.
Sorry for the wasted space, but I'm definately happier now.

Thanks!

G'day Ralph

You can set the password to whatever you would like it to be. In your BOINC directory is a file called gui_rpc_auth.cfg open this with a plain text editor (in windows use notepad) and edit the string that it contains.
CIC1=CC=C(C2=N[C@@H](CC(OC(C)(C)C)=O)C3=NN=C(C)N3C4=C2C(C)=C(C)S4)C=C1
