Six machines running great until April 1st.

I run 6 Windows 10 PCs. Four are I7s and two Xeons. Of the six machines, the two Xeons are erroring out on all GPU tasks in less than 30 seconds. (3-GTX 780ti and 3-GTX 680). Of these two machines, the only GPU task not failing is GPU grid on one machine. Failing on both machines; Collatz, SETI, Amicable Numbers, Einstein, Moo Wrapper and Asteroids. My other four machines are running normal. These 2 machines took an unreversable update from windows 10. (The other machines have not had these updates.)

I've uninstalled and reinstalled Boinc Manager, Boinic Tasks, TThrottle and Afterburner. I rolled back to many different Nvidia drivers, with no luck.

Is anyone else having issues with Windows updates KB4099989 or KB4090914 ? These updates won't uninstall. Rollback also fails.

All the PCs are on Windows 10 Pro build 1709
All are Asus Mobos (all X79) with the latest bios.
All running Boinc Manager 7.8.3
GPU's are GTX 670,680,690,770,780ti

The big differences are the Xeons vs I7s and the Windows updates. No other machine changes.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check that Windows hasn't updated the video drivers, and re-install them using ones downloaded from the nVidia website. Do a clean update to get rid of all traces of the ones installed by Windows then turn Windows driver updates OFF.

The key was turning off the Windows driver updates. (I didn't know you could do that.) Clean driver installs and all is well again. Turned off the driver updates to the other 4 PCs.

THANK YOU :)
