HI,
I have just installed the Mac BOINC Client on my G5 iMac. When the BOINC Screen Saver activates, the message "BOINC is currently suspended" appears on the screen.

I did read the other message about this (iMacs have separate graphics cards), and I changed the "Do work while computer is in use?" to "yes". When the screen saver activates, it immediately returns to the desktop.

So I have restored the settings to "no" and 3 minutes (the defaults).

This is what I want to happen:
BOINC not to run when the machine is being used.
BOINC to kick in when the screen saver activates.

What do I need to do to achieve this?

Thanks.

You did Update BOINC after every change you saved in preferences?

Can your videocard do OpenGL? Have you tried new drivers for it?
What kind of videocard does your Mac have?

HI,
yes, I updated after I changed the preferences.

The iMac G5 late 2005 has an ATI Radeon x600 XT graphics card with 128MB RAM

From what I can tell, yes, Open GL is supported on the card.

Hi,
I notice another thread which has similar issues with a Wacom tablet installed - I have one of these, so it could be this causing the problem. I'm using BOINC manager 5.4.9
