Hi, I have a question about the cc_config.xml... Currently I am crunching for srbase, a wrapper gets started which starts llr.exe. Furthermore I am using WUProp. Today I had a closer look at the priorities of the different processes started by boinc. I noticed, that my cc_config.xml is completely ignoring my process settings: <cc_config> <options> <no_gpus>1</no_gpus> <report_results_immediately>1</report_results_immediately> <start_delay>10</start_delay> <process_priority>3</process_priority> </options> </cc_config> In this scenario the wrapper should have a priority of 0 - lowest priority (default for wrapper?), the llr.exe should have priority 3 - above normal and WUProp (by default) has Lower than Normal. In my taskmanager I recognized, that the wrapper has normal priority, WUProp is Lower than Normal and llr.exe has the lowest priority. Thats strange since some configs are used correctly, like the "report_results_immediately" and "no_gpus". I am using WIndows 10 x64 Home Edition and Boinc 7.6.33 Am I doing something wrong? Can someone help me? |

Afaik it's meant to be global, so all applications started by BOINC should have the set priority. That's how I would read it. But I don't know if the executed .exe-files from the projects (like llr.exe) have a fixed priority or not. Would be really strange since this would make the <process_priority>-tag useless... Edit: As I wrote in the first post, it's even stranger that WUProp has a higher priority than llr.exe... |
