On my MacBook Air, BOINC recognises my Intel HD Graphics 6000 as an Intel Iris Graphics 6100. It's not really a problem, but I just want to know why it's happening. I've had this on Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan and 10.12 Sierra.

BOINC gets the name from OpenCL drivers. You need to ask on some Apple forum why the drivers in OSX misreport the GPU name.
