The " real " problem is when the other companies " follow suit " and bet they will , could almost say it's the N.W.O making another move , but only if you were " so inclined " ;-) . I think it could very well be the " start" of a very slippery slope ( probably " started " years / decades ago TBH ) but to where only time will tell that . But like with everything there's ALWAYS good AND bad points to everything , the trouble starts trying to ballance them . |

"Gibraltar has accused Spain of manipulating the European Council for its own political interests." Now that Article 50 has been signed, the fun begins :-) |

Royal Navy 'far weaker' than it was during Falklands War Britain's Royal Navy is substantially weaker than it was during the Falklands War but could still "cripple" Spain, military experts have said. I don't think I could stand another ten years of this fighting© Tom Robinson, 1983, "War baby" |

Britain's Royal Navy Not just the Royal Navy , " sold out "to that very one sided " special relationship " !! and don't care if that offends anyone coz IT'S THE TRUTH !!! |

Royal Navy 'far weaker' than it was during Falklands WarDoubt that for several good reasons. 1: Due to the coalition governments "penny-pinching" SDR, there have been ships sitting idle at the docks because of insufficient funds to maintain regular sea duty & exercises. 2: The scrapping of our aircraft carriers before their replacement was in active service. 3: Now that article 50 has been signed, cannot see the EU letting an outsider attack one of its members (would be great test of the EU's "so-called" resolve in maintaining unity). Should anything happen from 2020 onwards, where will the RN ships come from? Once this enters service, it will require a battle group just to protect her. What happens to other naval duties? |

So, Chris wants us to cherry-pick just one outcome from the Treaties of Utrecht from 1713, does he? Doesn't fancy taking his holidays in Newfoundland or on the shores of Hudson Bay? I love the description of 18th. century politics in the Responses section of the article I linked: Oxford and Bolingbroke persuaded the Queen to create twelve new "Tory peers" to ensure ratification of the treaty in the House of Lords. Then as now, British domestic politics cast a long shadow over the rest of the world. I suspect that the 'Free Trade' Tories were most interested in Gibraltar as a repair and re-provisioning port on the Triangular trade route - the British gained a monopoly over the slave trade by the same treaty. I presume you want to revive that, too? @ Chris, if you want to reply to that question, please do so here under your own account, for all to read. Boycotting the thread, then asking others to post on your behalf, seems to me to carry a touch of... What was that word you used about me in PM, again? |

1713 , That's about tea time here...You should just have time to nip up the road to Lincolnshire and stage yourself a re-enactment of the Boston Tea Party. Another example of our (in-)glorious colonial past. (Read the Tea_Act to see how duty-free trade via the Nederlands was treated as smuggling) |

Another example of our (in-)glorious colonial past. There's not much to be proud about there , that's for sure . I know that :-( |

LOL. Quite possible some of my ancestors did, considering I have distant connections to Mayfield, the Cuckmere river and Alfriston. |

Anyone here wanting to visit anyone over there in the USA? Do it now... before the extreme vetting policy is going into action. With the extreme vetting you are required to reveal mobile phone contacts, social media passwords, financial data and answer questions on ideology. This could require people to hand over their phones so officials can study their stored contacts and possibly other information. The aim is to “figure out who you are communicating with”, a senior Department of Homeland Security official was quoted as saying. “What you can get on the average person’s phone can be invaluable.” A second change would ask applicants for their social media handles and passwords, so that officials could see information posted privately in addition to public posts, the Journal said. Kelly told a House homeland security committee hearing in February: “We want to say for instance, ‘What sites do you visit? And give us your passwords,’ so that we can see what they do on the internet. If they don’t want to give us that information then they don’t come.” Try to explain you really do not have a Facebook account. "Everyone has a Facebook account, sir, so don't lie to us!" I wouldn't even be able to give them the required info, as all my passwords - and there's around 70 of them now - are stored in Keepass. I don't remember them all, only the one for Keepass. :) |

I don't do Social Media either. Having to give some stranger any of my passwords, good luck. I might remember five. If they want to see my posts here or on Seti, they are more than welcome. Pluto will always be a planet to me. |

Simple answer - turn it around. Any Yank visiting the RotW has to provide the same or stay at home :-) Good question |
